Kamandalu Resort  

The name Kamandalu is adopted from the Sanskrit word. It means “the vessel that holds the holy water.” The process of making this vessel, Kamandalu, has deep spiritual meaning: an individual must break away from the attachment of the world and purify himself of self-desire in order to experience inner peace. The look of Kamandalu is simple, but it holds great importance since it holds the holy water. The holy water itself is believed to be the elixir of life.

Accommodation

The accommodation is built in the traditional style of a real-life Balinese village with a touch of contemporary style. The exclusively all-villas accommodation blend harmoniously into the surrounding green terraced rice paddies and tropical forests.
There are 58 villas in total, divided in 6 different categories. Each villa presents its own enchanting panoramic view across the lush valley of Ubud and Petanu River, one of the major rivers in Ubud. All of the villas feature natural stone finishing and indigenous grass (alang-alang) roofings.
